The World –
One Sip at a Time

I love wine.  And I love traveling.  I couldn’t think of a better way to spend my time than to combine them.  Whenever I travel to a wine region, I do my homework to brush up on the region, its history, the major grapes that are grown there, and decide which wineries to visit.  Then there is all of the typical logistical planning – when to go, how to get there, where should I stay, etc.  This task is even more important for international trips that may require additional research and planning.  I wind up having to jump around the internet, finding bits and pieces of info scattered across multiple sites and blogs.  I wish someone did all of the work and compiled it in one place.  Being an entrepreneur at heart, I said, “why not me?”  Thus, Passport Vino was born!

Passport Vino is a blog/guide dedicated to wine tourism (also known as enotourism, oenotourism, or vinitourism), helping connect wine lovers to new and interesting wine regions.  The premise of is to “go before,” explore, learn, make mistakes, make friends, and share my experiences and learnings, helping to pave the way for others looking to do wine-related traveling.

The world is a big place, get your Passport Vino stamped all over, one sip at a time!

Cheers (干杯, Proost, Prost, Santé, Sláinte, ΥΓΕΙΑ, Salute, Cin Cin, 乾杯, Kanpai, 건배, Saúde, Salud, Будем здоровы, Skål, and many more)!
